Our Choir

The Beit Shalom Choir has gone from strength to strength in the decade 2003-2013, culminating with a guest appearance in the 2013 Purim Spiel, "A Fistful of Matzah" as the Corner of the Shul Gang. The choir sang a rendition of Lewandowski's "Hallelujah", though he certainly would not have recognised it. The choir has sung at several multicultural events including the Spirit Jam, programs for the Council of Christians and Jews and a special Service of Lament for asylum seekers lost at sea in 2012

Our choir ranks during this period have included Merrilyn Ades, Elinor Cozens, Matthew Cozens, Rob Conwell, Karen Finch, Ruth Gilbert, Janet Henrie, Deborah Hersh, Ron Hoenig, Craig Holland, Rabbi Shoshanah Kaminsky, Rabbi David Kopstein, Steven Knopoff, Ruth Marshall, Rebecca Muecke, Tim Muecke, Jill Noble, Ella Pak Poy and Rachel Sag.

We have enjoyed visits by Joseph Toltz, Dean Staker and Marshall Voit to teach us new songs and provide further inspiration for the special function we are so proud to perform for the community.
